A new grant scheme is being run by the government for certain non–domestic organisations to apply for help with their business energy bills.
Eligible businesses can apply for grants between £30,000 to £50,000 for energy-saving measures until 21st December 2022.
This 1.4 million grant scheme has been granted in Wales to help social care providers improve energy efficiency.
This support will help residential social care providers to implement energy-saving and low carob measures to help these businesses cope with rising energy bills. This will help the deal will the higher cost of energy and move towards net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
At the moment this is a pilot scheme only running in Wales. The grant is available to residential care providers registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales. These organisations can apply for grants between £30,000 and £50,000. This could fund investments such as heat pumps, cavity wall installations, double-glazing windows and more.
This grant is a massive opportunity for businesses in the social care sector to reduce their impact on the environment and make the sector more sustainable. Not only will this make the energy sector more energy efficient, but it will also save these organisations a lot of money in energy bills.
