Microsoft say that it will be carbon negative by 2030. They plan to do this through:
- Driving down scope 1 and 2 emissions by using renewable energy to replace electricity usage.
- They will reduce scope 3 emissions through an internal carbon tax.
- They also plan to work with suppliers on new procurement processes, to account for emissions across the value chain.
Sky
Sky have said that they will become net zero through:
- making tech products energy efficient to cover scope 3 emissions
- making all productions net zero
- creating a zero emissions fleet
- carbon offsetting the emissions that they cannot currently cut.
