We have recently worked with an automotive company with around 80 years’ experience in their industry.
They have since become one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium cars. They are responsible for the distribution, sales, and marketing of many well-known
cars in the United Kingdom.
The company operates through a network of dealerships across the UK and offers a range of vehicles, including SUVs, sedans, wagons, and plug-in hybrids. With a
history spanning over 90 years, the car manufacturer has established itself as a trusted and respected brand in the automotive industry.
A well-known UK car manufacturer engaged with Resolve Net Zero to provide consultancy services to help with carbon reporting. This involved tracking and
reporting on their carbon emissions, as well as providing a quotation for solar panel installations. The company wanted to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas
emissions their business was producing.
The consultation involved analysing the businesses carbon footprint across their operations in the UK. We looked for areas that could be improved in the company
including manufacturing plants, showrooms, and offices. This helped us see where we could reduce their carbon footprint.
The business is now currently implementing the sustainable practices we have recommended at their main training branch in the Midlands. The company aims to expand
energy-efficient practices to all 800 locations across the UK. As part of their sustainability initiatives, they have set an ambitious target to become a net-zero
carbon company by 2040.
The implementation of carbon tracking and solar panel installations will be crucial in achieving this goal and will help lead the automobile industry towards
net-zero by 2030. By investing in sustainable practices and technologies, they are demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship while ensuring the
long-term viability and success of their business.
The next steps for the project involve expanding the net-zero practices implemented by Resolve Net Zero throughout all 800 locations. This will reduce the scope 1, 2
and 3 emissions for the whole business.
The successful implementation of carbon tracking and solar panel installations at their main training branch in the Midlands will serve as a blueprint for achieving
net-zero carbon emissions across all their operations. The businesses commitment to sustainability is not only beneficial for the environment, but it also
strengthens their brand reputation and creates a competitive advantage.
